Those early days are fleeting, tiny fingers and toes, delicate eyelashes, and all the little details grow and change so quickly.
There is something so special about those first few weeks with your new baby, and I absolutely love being able to capture them for families.
With over 20 years of experience as a professional photographer, I've welcomed hundreds of newborn babies and their families into my studio in Dublin.
My newborn photography sessions are relaxed, natural and always led by your baby. There's no rush, and plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling. I want you to enjoy the experience just as much as you'll enjoy the photographs.
All newborn photography sessions take place in my purpose-built studio in Ballymount, Dublin 12, where everything is ready for you and your little one.
Our two-hour Newborn & Family Shoots are perfect for Mum, Dad, and baby, and we warmly encourage including siblings to ensure every precious family moment is documented.
A 2-hour Newborn & Family shoot is payable at the time of booking. We do have a very special package for Newborns.
A relaxed, one-hour studio newborn photoshoot. Our Mini Sessions focus entirely on your baby, creating timeless, baby-focused portraits that you'll treasure forever.
The package includes the one-hour session and two 6×8″ gift prints, professionally mounted and signed by Jenny. A booking fee secures your session, with the remainder due on the day.
Please note, these shoots are exclusively for baby only.
A separate Viewing & Ordering appointment will be scheduled for you approx 1-2 weeks after your shoot back here at our Dublin studio, where you will be shown a beautiful slideshow of all your gorgeous images before we choose which you would like to order.

We would recommend getting in touch about 3-4 weeks before your due date in order to book your shoot for some time within the first 10 days to two weeks after the baby arrives.
I like to capture little ones when they are between 5 & 10 days old. This is when they are most sleepy and can be easily positioned into the gorgeous poses that you would have seen on my Newborn gallery. However, if your baby is already past this stage, it’s not too late, I photograph babies of all ages.
I like to keep things really simple. I encourage parents to bring along a couple of white babygro’s (my Zipzee Gro' is perfect and can be purchased in the studio or online) & vests to begin with. But there is nothing more adorable than just your baby’s skin, which is why I photograph them without clothes. There is no fear of baby getting cold as I keep the studio nice and warm so that your baby feels comfortable and cozy. If you have any items that have special or sentimental meanings, such as blankets or teddy bears, please feel free to bring them along.
Absolutely! I would always encourage both parents and siblings to attend the Newborn & Family shoot. This is a great opportunity to get a family portrait of everyone together at this very special time. These portraits are taken at the beginning of the session when we have everyone’s full attention. Please note, our Mini Newborn Shoots are exclusively for baby only.
The most important thing is that you are comfortable with what you are wearing. I like to keep my portraits looking timeless so I would recommend wearing simple, neutral colours. Smart casual always works best. Please try to avoid heavily patterned items of clothing or anything with logos. This also applies for siblings.
I would always put aside at least 2 hours for a Newborn & Family shoot. Newborn babies can be very unpredictable. While they love to sleep, they will most likely want a feed, a nappy change or some cuddles during their time at the studio. Your baby is the boss on the day so we will take as many breaks as they need to ensure they are completely comfortable. For our Mini Newborn Shoots, 1 hour is plenty of time.
All of my Newborn shoots are held in the comfort of my cosy studio in Unit B6 Ballymount Corporate Park. During the shoot all you need to do is relax with a nice cup of tea, read a magazine and leave the rest up to me. With over twenty years experience, your baby will be in very safe hands.
Your images will be ready to view approximately 10 days to 2 weeks after your shoot. You will be invited back to the studio where you can view your images for the first time on a large screen in the comfort of our viewing room. This will also be the time to place your order.
Everything from the portrait studio comes as a fully finished printed image finished in either a custom frame, mounted gift print, glass block or photo album. Your finished portraits will be ready for collection approx 3-4 weeks from the time of order.
High Resolution Digital images are also now available to order from the studio. These are usually ready approx 1-2 weeks after you order and will be sent to you via a Download Link.
Yes, High Resolution Digital copies of your photos are now available to purchase. These are available as individual images or can be purchased in bundles of 5, 10 or 20.
The initial cost of a Newborn & Family shoot is payable on the day. After that, prices vary depending on the size of print and style of frame or finishing you choose. We do have a very special package for Newborns. This includes the shoot cost and two beautiful framed pieces, ready for hanging in your home.
Our new Mini Newborn Package includes the 1 hour studio shoot (for baby only) and two 6×8″ gift prints, professionally mounted and signed by Jenny. A booking fee is payable at the time of order to secure your booking. The balance is payable on the day of your shoot.
