Meet Jenny McCarthy
“Hi, I'm Jenny, a Dublin-based wedding photographer with more than 20 years' experience photographing weddings across Ireland and abroad.”
The relationships I build with my couples are a special part of my work. By the wedding day, I want to be a familiar, trusted presence: someone who understands what matters to them, offers guidance when it's needed and helps them feel at ease. I'm there to capture the big moments, keep an eye on the little details and give my couples the space to enjoy their day, knowing their memories are being looked after.
Many couples return to my warm studio in Ballymount, Dublin as their families grow. I love photographing newborns and families, taking time to notice the tiny details, expressions and connections that make each family unique. Every portrait session is approached with care and artistry, with a relaxed pace that lets everyone settle in and be themselves.
Meet Dean McCarthy
“Hi, I'm Dean. I'm a versatile photographer at PhotosByJen, photographing family celebrations and events in Dublin, including Communions, christenings, birthdays and family gatherings.”
I also lead our pet and seasonal studio photography.
I have a sharp eye for detail and a natural way with people, children and animals. At an event, I'm looking out for the moments you might otherwise miss: the proud look from a grandparent, the children laughing together, the hugs, the little details and all the people who came to celebrate with you. I work calmly around the day, stepping in to organise family photographs when needed and giving everyone space to enjoy themselves.
My aim is to give you photographs that bring the day back: the people who shared it with you, the feeling of being there and the small details you'll be glad you kept. You can be present with your family while I take care of capturing it.
